This knife is from James' earliest days of making knives- somewhere between 2005 and 2011 when he was in Michigan, still working for his dad at Treeman Knives. In those years his own knives were marked J. Behring Jr. Handmade and are a gem for any discerning collector. This one was hand forged from 1/4" thick high carbon 01 tool steel and it measures 7 3/4" from tip to guard with a razor sharp convex grind. The brass guard is soldered in place above black and maroon, brass, aluminum and horsehide leather spacers as well as a crotch stag butt that's pinned through the tang with aluminum and also has a brass thonghole. The overall length measures over 13" and it comes in a clean and classic Jack Mosher custom sheath.
