Woody Scagel Tribute

This beautiful Archive offering from Behring Made© is a tribute to the great William Scagel- the original creator of the style of knives we (and many others) still make to this day. This one is a sized-down version of one of Bill’s more famous knives, hand forged from 3/16” thick high carbon 01 tool steel and measuring 4 3/4” with a razor sharp convex grind. The copper guard is soldered in place above an impressive stack of ancient bog oak, cocobolo, stabilized beech, buckeye burl and spalted maple with gray, maroon and black spacers throughout. The overall length measures 9 1/4” and this one comes in a classic leather belt pouch sheath that’s outfitted with a spring clip rather than the usual leather loop.
