This knife is from James' earliest days of making knives- somewhere between 2005 and 2011 when he was in Michigan, still working for his dad at Treeman Knives. In those years his own knives were marked J. Behring Jr. Handmade and are a great acquisition for any discerning collector. This Alaskan is hand forged from 1/4" thick high carbon 01 tool steel and it measures just shy of 5" from tip to guard with a razor sharp hollow grind and a hammermark finish as well as a "USA" stamp. The nickel silver guard is soldered in place above maroon, black, white and aluminum spacers as well as a crown stag handle that's pinned through the tang with aluminum. The overall length measures about 9 1/2" and it comes in perfect Jack Mosher pouch sheath.
